Booking Information and Terms & Conditions
You can choose from our range and series of courses to suit all culinary tastes. Whether a novice or a more experienced cook, our expert and individual tuition ensures that all courses (unless stated in the course description) are suitable for every level of culinary ability.
All courses are available for a maximum of 20 people. Because of the popularity of courses it is advisable to book your place as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
COST
All leisure courses cost £140 per person unless otherwise stated. This cost is inclusive of VAT and also includes refreshments and lunch, a pack of recipes, best quality locally sourced ingredients, containers in which to take your cooked dishes home, a stylish Cooking School apron and a parking permit, (the Dean Clough site is secure pay and display parking throughout).
Course registration, including refreshments is from 9.00am, tuition starts at 9.30am and the courses finish at 4.00pm.
BOOKING A COURSE
Courses can be booked and paid for online by going to www.thecookingschool.co.uk, by completing and returning the enclosed booking form or, if you prefer by telephoning our Course and Customer Manager on 01422 383192.
Payment must be made at the time of the booking.
When you make your booking, please make sure you let us know if you have any food intolerances, allergies or dietary requirements. We will do our best to accommodate you on a suitable course and endeavour to amend lunch on the day.
Many ingredients use nuts or nut derivatives. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed to nuts in The Cooking School. We are sorry, but we will not be able to change the course content to suit individual preferences and tastes.

MOBILITY
The Cooking School has a wheelchair accessible workstation. The Cooking School is on the first floor and there is a lift. Please contact us to discuss your requirements so that we can provide you with as much help as you need.
OFFICE HOURS
Our office hours are from 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 5.00pm on Friday. Outside office hours you can leave a message on the answerphone. We will return your call as soon as possible on the next day. We are closed on Bank Holidays.
COURSE TRANSFER POLICY
We understand that circumstances change. If you find you cannot attend the course on which you have booked but you can arrange for someone else to come in your place, that is no problem. Please telephone us as soon as possible and we will amend the booking. There will be no extra charge.
Course transfers are always subject to availability and the following conditions and charges apply.
28 OR MORE DAYS NOTICE
We will transfer you to another course of your choice and charge an administration fee of £10 per person.
BETWEEN 14 AND 28 DAYS NOTICE
If we are able to fill your place, we will transfer you to another course of your choice and charge an administration fee of £10 per person.
However, if we are unable to fill your place you will be charged 25% of your course fee as well as the administration fee of £10 per person.
BETWEEN 7 AND 14 DAYS NOTICE
If we are able to fill your place, we will transfer you to another course of your choice and charge an administration fee of £10 per person.
However, if we are unable to fill your place you will be charged 50% of your course fee as well as the administration fee of £10 per person.
BETWEEN 3 AND 6 DAYS NOTICE
If we are able to fill your place, we will transfer you to another course of your choice and charge an administration fee of £10 per person.
However, if we are unable to fill your place you will be charged 75% of your course fee as well as the administration fee of £10 per person.
LESS THAN 72 HOURS NOTICE
If we are able to fill your place, we will transfer you to another course of your choice and charge an administration fee of £10 per person.
However, if we are unable to fill your place we will transfer you to another course of your choice but you will, unfortunately, forfeit the whole course fee. You will also need to pay the full cost of the course you transfer to.
COURSE CANCELLATION POLICY
28 OR MORE DAYS NOTICE
A full refund will be given less an administration fee of £10 per person.
BETWEEN 14 AND 28 DAYS NOTICE
If we are able to fill your place you will receive a full refund less an administration fee of £10 per person.
However if we are unable to fill your place you will receive a 75% refund less an administration fee of £10 per person.
BETWEEN 7 AND 14 DAYS NOTICE
If we are able to fill your place you will receive a full refund less an administration fee of £10 per person.
However, if we are unable to fill your place you will receive a 50% refund less an administration fee of £10 per person.
BETWEEN 3 AND 6 DAYS NOTICE
If we are able to fill your place you will receive a full refund less an administration fee of £10 per person.
However, if we are unable to fill your place you will receive a 25% refund less an administration fee of £10 per person.
LESS THAN 72 HOURS NOTICE
If we are able to fill your place you will receive a full refund less an administration fee of £10 per person.
However, if we are unable to fill your place no refund will be available.
