Focus on Food was established in 1998 against a background of national decline in cooking ability and teaching in the UK. This was coupled with rising health problems caused by poor diet and a general lack of food knowledge and skills.

Leading celebrity chefs; James Martin, Brian Turner, Nick Nairn, Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver, Prue Leith, Gary Rhodes, Ross Burden and Ainsley Harriott have all supported the Focus on Food Campaign.

Focus on Food is the UK’s foremost education outreach programme for cooking. It delivers teaching to children, teachers and parents throughout the country using flagship mobile teaching classrooms; Cooking Buses. Focus on Food is sponsored by major partners who play a crucial role in the continued success of the Campaign.
